The Weekender: September 27th - 29th

Happy Friday Friends!

We hope that you are enjoying the fall weather as much as we are! With that being said, here are some things to do in New York City this weekend so that you can enjoy the crisp autumnal air.

September 27th - 29th: Visit the DUMBO Arts Festival and enjoy the fall weather. "With its industrial spaces easily converted to studios, DUMBO underwent a radical transformation into an edgy but upscale enclave populated by art lovers and creators. The DUMBO Arts Festival honors that connection with three days of family-friendly performances and installations as well as open studios and galleries. Esmeralda Kosmatopoulos, Xue Chen and Marney Fuller are among the nearly 500 artists to display their work. During the festival's first day, there will be a special yoga event with live music (from 6:30 to 8pm). For more information, visit dumboartsfestival.com"

WWD Wednesday: London Fashion Week Street Style

WWD's They Are Wearing posts create the perfect look into the street style across the pond at LFW. Some of the trends so far have been sharp tailored jackets and pants, leather, and great pops of bright colors.

There were also some bags that stole the street style show:

And finally, there were the hats that literally topped off the outfits:

Tuesday Street Style: Layered Bracelets

Happy Tuesday!
We hope you enjoyed our visit from Stylecaster guests Leah and Meghan. Today's street style trend is layered bracelets! Stack 'em short, stack 'em high, we don't care! Below are some pictures of bracelets and watches worn by our own club members. Pearls seemed to be all the rage, as well as mixing colors for a fun and fresh look. And multi-strand bracelets? Even easier.

Watches seem to be in right now, and gold seems to be preferred over silver. Below are some pics from some other street stylistas!

The Weekender: September 13th - 15th

Happy Friday Readers!

Fashion Week is now over, but don't worry, there are many more things to see and do in the city! Below are some options. We hope they spark your fancy!

September 13th - December 31st: Go on the TMZ Tour! During this fun bus ride, you will get to see hot spots like Jessica Simpson's favorite Mexican restaurant, and even the infamous hotel where Charlie Sheen...(err we would rather not say). This tour has over 70 highlighted places to see, and monitors inside of the bus play TMZ commentary to keep tour-goers interested between stops. For more information visit: http://onlocationtours.com/tour/tmz-nyc/ (This company has Gossip Girls and Sex in the City tours as well).

September 14th - November 3rd: The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a new exhibit called 'The Roof Garden Commission: Imran Qureshi". Imran splatters pools of wet paint on the roof as connecting points for intricate floral patterns. This would be a great way to enjoy the wonderful weather!

September 15th: We thought that this new restaurant would make a great lunch spot on a Sunday afternoon!

"Archie & Sons Joining fellow neighborhood greasy spoons B&H and Stage, Howie Cohen relocated his Long Island luncheonette, established in 1983, to the East Village. Styled as a ‘50s throwback with pastel walls and subway tiles, the cheery dinette specializes in unfussy American eats: three-egg omelettes, honey-mustard chicken sandwiches and a family-recipe macaroni salad, as well as old-timey drinks like Arnold Palmers. 23 Third Ave between St. Marks Pl and E 9th St  (646-823-9423)" (http://www.timeout.com/newyork/food-drink/restaurant-and-bar-openings-september-12-18-2013
