Fashion Week Update!

Hello there!

Here is just a few more pictures to capture this week's fashion feast for the eyes!

First up is Christian Siriano, who sprinkled his collection with floral motifs and appliques, as well as geometric prints in black and white.

As for Jason Wu, a palette of neutrals with sheer paneling was all the rage.

And last, but not least, Rebecca Minkoff had an amazing blend of urban meets bohemian (with a dash of preppy too)! LOVE the colors and fun styling, not to mention the fabulous shoes!

Jason Wu Fall 2013 RTW Collection

This season Jason Wu was designing for a more mature audience. The inspiration for the more elegant and sophisticated collection seemed to be linked to his recent publicity: Michelle Obama wore one of his designs to the inaugural ball for a second time this January.

Wu said the collection was based on “extreme femininity.” It was true that many of the girly elements of his past collections were seen again in this line. Most recognizable were the pleats and lace details.

He mixed the feminine with masculine silhouettes of wider shoulders and fully buttoned up blouses. Other interesting details were created with cutout like patterns created with sheer fabrics; a perfect demonstration of the balance between severe and sexy Wu was going for this season.

What do you think? Don't you want a piece of Wu's New York sophistication in your closet?

Rony's Choice: Jason Wu, NYFW Day 2

Jason Wu is all about the Upper East Side Manhattanite for the Fall 2011 season! With his amazing use of embroidery, embellishment, and the fluid fabrics for his collection, it brings the much needed glamor that NYFW is known for.

I can see Blair Waldorf and her mother in these looks! Multi-generational!

With a base color pallet of white, black, and nude, Wu highlights the key colors for the season with pops of purple, red, and a mustard yellow.

A gorgeous mix of nude coloring and the sheerness the fashion world is obsessed with right now!

His evening wear screams red carpet, and especially one of the numbers I think he may have designed with Michelle Obama in mind! Overall his collection is one to remember, simply beautiful, and the historical references in the collection only add to the uniqueness of his design style.

That red dress SCREAMS MObama, no?

Congrats on another fantastic season Jason Wu, keep up the good work!
