Rony's Choice: Prabal Gurung, NYFW Day 3

Absolutely LOVING the shoulder on the red dress, and the use of materials in the left look!

Quickly becoming a red-carpet favorite, Prabal Gurung presented another fantastic collection full of Oscar worthy gowns and beautiful daywear that are completely flattering to the NY woman.

Admit it, what NYC woman WOULDN'T want to be caught in one of these looks!

The color pallet stuck with a knock-out fire engine red that was seen on a few gowns, black on everything, white, and a beautiful light grey. The trends to be aware of in this collection remain with the use of lace, the fire engine red, the sheerness of the material, and the fantastic way Gurung was able to belt most of his collection.

And a beautiful finale to the Gurung Fall 2011 collection, cannot wait to see these on some starlets!

Stay tuned to see which looks actually end up on the red-carpet for the Oscars later this month, I'm betting one of them ends up on Anne Hathaway!

Rony's Choice: Jason Wu, NYFW Day 2

Jason Wu is all about the Upper East Side Manhattanite for the Fall 2011 season! With his amazing use of embroidery, embellishment, and the fluid fabrics for his collection, it brings the much needed glamor that NYFW is known for.

I can see Blair Waldorf and her mother in these looks! Multi-generational!

With a base color pallet of white, black, and nude, Wu highlights the key colors for the season with pops of purple, red, and a mustard yellow.

A gorgeous mix of nude coloring and the sheerness the fashion world is obsessed with right now!

His evening wear screams red carpet, and especially one of the numbers I think he may have designed with Michelle Obama in mind! Overall his collection is one to remember, simply beautiful, and the historical references in the collection only add to the uniqueness of his design style.

That red dress SCREAMS MObama, no?

Congrats on another fantastic season Jason Wu, keep up the good work!
