WWD's backstage features are your ticket to all of the behind-the-scenes action at fashion week. Here are some of our picks from this week's shows:

Marc by Marc Jacobs made dark eyeliner, barrettes, headbands, and pigtail braids look so much better than our middle school attempts.

A gold pop of color on the eyes, nude lips, and the softest of waves at Badgely Mischka.

Tory Burch chose a barely-there makeup look to compliment the great details of her armor inspired collection.

All the makings of a modern silver smoky eye and topknot hairstyle could be found at Donna Karan.

Derek Lam's models looked scary strong with deep green shadow and ponytails full of volume.

President Obama: Runway To Win

 Happy President's Day Barack Obama!! As you could tell the whole country took the Monday off to relax and enjoy having such an incredible President, including The Society. Now we go back to our duties, and one that this organization feels strongly about is supporting our wonderfully fashionable President in the 2012 Campaign!!

President Obama is EASILY one of the fashion industry's favorite President's that have had the Head of State role, and for many reasons. Mr. Obama has been a vital asset to the retail industry in terms of passing counterfeit legislation and continuing to back projects by the fashion industry in America. The CFDA has fully endorsed him, and of course, he is our favorite because the Obama couple themselves are very well dressed American Icons!

Yes, it is that time of the week again! Another Thursday with more scandalous news from the industry. Now, we know our readers are up to date with their WWD articles, but if not here's what you've missed!

As everyone knows John Galliano was creative director for Christian Dior for a long time. He produced  fabulous runway shows season after season.  However, everyone also knows that Dior gave him the boot after he was accused of saying anti-Semitic remarks! Since Galliano's dramatic firing in March, Dior has yet to replace him!

Marc Jacobs Isn't Bringing Sexy Back!

.....Well at least not in the UK anyway! Have you been keeping up with industry news lately?! No? That's ok this week you have an excuse.  Versace for H&M took the runway this week and everyone was too consumed with the fabulosity that I will admit it was hard to hear about anything else! Now that you're out of the daze, here's what you missed!

Who has seen Marc Jacobs ad campaign for his new perfume OH LOLA? Honestly, how can you miss it?  It can be seen in every fashion magazine across the world.  (Well if you haven't, that's ok here it is pictured above.)  The ad features Dakota Fanning in a sweet pink dress holding an enlarged bottle of the perfume.  Looks innocent right?  The British Advertising Standards Authority beg to differ!
