WWD Wednesday: Remembering Roseland Ballroom

Lady Gaga closed out the Roseland Ballroom with her performance this Monday with her last of seven sold out shows. There has been so much history made at the location that started as a dance hall  and concert venue in 1919, turning into a hotspot for disco in the 70s, and then hosting popular bands of the 90s such as Nirvana. WWD is here to help us say our final goodbyes to the famous New York venue with a look-back at its maybe less recognized "performances" - the fashion shows:

Liz Claiborne for the venue's 69th Anniversary:

Tommy Hilfiger Fall 1999:

Versace Versus Spring 2000:

Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. Spring 2006 show:

Baby Phat Fall 2007 Runway:

Catherine Malandrino Spring 2007:

And Fall 2007:

Kimora Lee Simmons Fall 2007:

Alexander Wang Fall 2009:

William Rast Spring 2009:

What is your favorite Roseland Ballroom memory?
