This week was an amazing meeting! If you missed it here's the scoop!  We started it off with the handsome eye candy of CEO and Founder of StyleCaster, Ari Goldberg!  He definitely brought up our spirits from the boring Tuesday we all seemed to be having!

Merchandising Society held a light and refreshing meeting this week to get everyone updated on what's going on around FIT and of course to keep us ahead of the game!

Congratulations to Katie Kuchler for being our style star of the week, AND IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY THIS PAST WEEKEND!! Our girls are growing up!

Hello hello! Were you unable to make it to yesterday's meeting? Fear not, we've got the scoop for you! 

The few MS members who went on the Belk trip to Charlotte, NC, prepared a presentation to share with the club! What a lovely powerpoint, kids. 

Looking for some new experience?

The Ralph Lauren Fashion PR team is looking for interns for their men's, women's, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, children's, celebrity, Denim & Supply and American Living brands. PR interns are responsible for overseeing the organization of fashion closets, supporting the fashion team by checking  samples in/out for editorial and celebrity requests, conducting competitive analysis research, and supporting the fashion team. The internship runs from January 9 to May 11, 2012. If you're interested (and available to work a minimum of two days per week), email Jessica Frasco at jessica.frasco@ralphlauren.com.

Hey there, Hi there, Ho There! If you missed this weeks MS meeting, don't worry, we'll inform you on all that is going on in the Club!

The "Glam Guru" himself, John David Breen, from Hanky Panky, a women's lingerie brand, stopped by to speak to MS members. He shared what it's like working for the company and how they are staying strong amongst their competitors. He was also nice enough to show us their lookbooks for the upcoming season.

Don't miss the Hanky Panky V.I.P Access sample sale on November 14th from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm located on 260 5th Avenue!

In Case You Missed It . . .

Everyone was all warm and cozy in their chicest scarves and jackets today at the meeting! But if the cold weather kept you in for it, here's what you missed! Today was the MS Halloween Party! Thanks to all the members who brought in treats to eat! They were deeeelicious!

We're sending out an honorable mention to our Member of the Week, Zeiri Lantigua. Zeiri is a first year Fashion Design major who is currently obsessed with foreign pop music or K-Pop, as it's called in Korea. Below is a lil' sample of K-Pop from the group 4 Minute. The song is called "Hot Issue."

It's officially October! Welcome to fall weather (aka fall fashion)!! Kicking off the first meeting of the month was our Style Star of the week: KAYLA!

It's all about the detailing in this look, the polka dot handkerchief with the plaid jacket is purrrfect!

A Sophomore FMM this year, Kayla had just wrapped up a project on fashion in the 1920s, we can see how such a project could inspire one to be more creative with your dress!
