2013 American Music Awards Fashion Review

As with most recent award shows, there was some controversy over performance outfit choices like 

Katy Perry's Geisha inspired look:

and Miley Cyrus in her Kitty two-piece ensemble:

The Huffington Post felt the red carpet fashion was best described as “interesting" and New York Times Style noted that many of this year's pieces were straight from the runway. Everyone was looking their best, but there were no huge surprises that stole the show this year.

Just remember that no matter what the stars wear on the AMA red carpet, it can always be worse- 

aka the Justin and Britney all denim look from the 2001 award show!

WWD Wednesday: DANNIJO Prince Street Pop Up

For months I’ve been following DANNIJO’s instagram and Facebook accounts and have become a big fan of the colorful jewelry designs.  The company was founded by sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder in 2008. DANNIJO jewelry is hand-made in New York and offers an eclectic range of designs. Danielle and Jodie’s styles combined create such a unique mix. Their sophisticated bib statement necklaces remain a strong theme in their collection.  

Tomorrow the duo will debut their pop up shop at 27 Prince Street in the NoLita neighborhood of Manhattan.   The store will remain open through December.  

With supporters like Leandra Medine, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Natalie Portman, the store is a must-see!
