The Weekender Report!

Well hello there and happy Friday! We have yet another fun-packed Weekender Report for to enjoy so pull out your planners and get to note-takin'!


FRIDAY:
  • Havainas is opening their very own store in Bloomingdale's at 59th & Lex tonight! From 5-7:00 pm enjoy a live DJ and gift with purchase courtesy of People Style Watch magazine while perusing their new boutique! 
  • The High Line is hosting a free outdoor film screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train tonight from 7-9:00 pm! How cute, right? The event will take place at the 14th Street Passage on the High Line at 14th Street. For more info click here.
  • Pacha NYC is hosting Will.I.Am (doing a DJ set) and Jaguar Skills from 10:00 pm until sunrise! And even better, it's only $10 before midnight! To put your name on the list click here and be sure
     to dress fabulously! 
Only Will.I.Am could make a marching band jacket look cool.

SATURDAY:
  • The first Saturday of every month at the Brooklyn Museum is free from 5-11:00 pm! And aren't you just so lucky that this Saturday happens to be the first Saturday in October?! The museum not only has permanent installations of European paintings and arts of the Islamic world, but one of its special exhibits is "Ten Years Later: Ground Zero Remembered", a two-piece installation commemorating two victims of the attacks at Ground Zero.   • At 10:30 pm the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (right around the corner from FIT!) will be putting on a comedy show called " The Curfew: Not From Around Here" for only $10! The Upright Citizens Brigade has an awesome reputation for hilarity. For info on tickets (they're really cheap!!) visit this page.
SUNDAY:
  •  Make Sunday your chill day by venturing to the Upper West Side to visit GreenFlea flea market anytime from 10:00 am to 5:45 pm. The market has outdoor and indoor vendors who sell a myriad of items from handcrafted pieces to vintage clothing, art, furniture, media, and more! For more info on GreenFlea, click here.
  • And if you just want to indulge your sweet tooth before the hectic school week begins, head down to Butter Lane, the BEST place to get cupcakes in NYC. Cupcakes are cheap and they offer a variety of flavors and frostings. Located at 123 East Seventh Street, it's in an adorable neighborhood, too!
