The Museum at FIT Ivy Style exhibit

If there is an exhibit that a fashionista would love, it is most definitely the Ivy Style Exhibit at FIT. With help from the generous Brooks Brothers and additional support provided by J.McLaughlin, The Museum at FIT brings this exhibit to life giving viewers a tour of the beginning of the preppy trend that we all know and love. Walking through the museum makes you feel as if you are going back in time walking around the campus's of all the Ivy League schools.  Whether or not you love that "preppy" look, or if you are just waiting to start a class this exhibit is definitely one to walk through before it ends (January 5, 2013).

LOVE the leopard on leopard.

I have been completely obsessed with "Mint" lately!

Rag & Bone Spring 2013

Backstage at London’s fashion week this year one of Rag & Bone’s designers, David Neville said “It’s always about a British girl in New York.”

This collection’s modern city girl was all about layering and a fresh palette based on whites and grays. The neutrals that the show started with made the bright blue, green and coral pieces seem even more electric.

David and his design partner Marcus Wainwright cited their inspiration as the off-road race that traveled from Paris to Africa during the 70s.

The theme was clearly represented in the motor-cross inspired jackets and leather pants. My favorite pieces in the collection were all outerwear, which were a reoccurring focus of the show.

What do you think; did the show bring out the British side of you New York students?

Emmy Awards News: Kelly Osbourne's $250,000 manicure

As I do for every awards show, I had my eyes peeled on E! since around 6:00 last evening lusting over the gowns. Dresses followed an overwhelming color theme of yellow or gray and Modern Family took home the ultimate prize...again.

Lately, there has been an explosion of expressing personality in the form of nail art.  So is it a huge surprise that E!'s Kelly Osbourne had her nails decked out in $250,000 polish?

Yes, $250,000 for a bottle of nail polish.  However could nail polish be worth that much you ask?  The nail polish designer, Azature, claims each bottle contains 1,118 diamonds; and at such a steep price this polish has blown away any previous record for the most expensive nail polish.

Kelly, you better hope they applied a chip-proof top coat.
