Rag & Bone Spring 2013

Backstage at London’s fashion week this year one of Rag & Bone’s designers, David Neville said “It’s always about a British girl in New York.”

This collection’s modern city girl was all about layering and a fresh palette based on whites and grays. The neutrals that the show started with made the bright blue, green and coral pieces seem even more electric.

David and his design partner Marcus Wainwright cited their inspiration as the off-road race that traveled from Paris to Africa during the 70s.

The theme was clearly represented in the motor-cross inspired jackets and leather pants. My favorite pieces in the collection were all outerwear, which were a reoccurring focus of the show.

What do you think; did the show bring out the British side of you New York students?
