In Case You Missed It...

Hello dear readers! It's Wednesday, which means another installment of In Case You Missed It.If you weren't at yesterday's meeting (we missed you!!) here's all you need to be up to date.

Corey and Elle reviewing some product featured in the Style Shop!
Member of the Week:

We're sending out an honorable mention to our Member of the Week, Zeiri Lantigua. Zeiri is a first year Fashion Design major who is currently obsessed with foreign pop music or K-Pop, as it's called in Korea. Below is a lil' sample of K-Pop from the group 4 Minute. The song is called "Hot Issue."

LOVE the costumes in this vid. Thanks for that Zeiri! For more new music suggestions from your fellow students, check out our Music Note.

Style Star of the Week:

This week's Style Star is Tyler Everhart, a second year FMM major who is currently on the Style Shop team. When we asked Tyler what inspired his outfit on Tuesday, he let us know (in his slight Southern twang) that he was going for a rock and roll feel.

Point taken, Tyler!

Keep dressing cute, dear readers, and we'll be sure to recognize your fabulosity sooner or later. Everyone in MS has such great style, it's so hard to choose a star each week!

Kohl's Presentation:

Heather during her talk. We're almost certain she's wearing Simply Vera by Very Wang.
  • Heather Parker, Product Developer for Simply Vera by Vera Wang at Kohl's was kind enough to stop by this week's MS meeting and give a fantastic presentation about what it's like to work at Kohl's!
  • Heather, an FIT alum, started her career at Kohl's as an intern and was eventually hired full time for their product development business.
  • In her position, she gets to produce the product for Vera from beginning to end, constantly staying in communication with Vera Wang herself to make sure the product that she's coming up with aligns with Vera Wang's brand image and quality standards.
Don't forget to sign up for the Kohl's Design Office visit THIS THURSDAY!! From 9-11:30AM! E-mail Stephanie_Testani@fitnyc.edu to see if there are any open spots left!

That's all for now, dear readers. We'll see you all next Tuesday in D-207. Have a great week and share your thoughts with us!! XO
