The Weekender Report!

It's that time of the week party animals! The Weekender Report is here again to give you only the best ideas to add to your weekend plans! Say goodbye to the rain, and say Ciao to the sun! October weather is finally gracing us with its presence!

FRIDAY:

  • Craving a little scare? Are you feeling extremely brave? Well, if you didn't check out Nightmare Haunted House yet, our suggestion thisweek is the Blackout Haunted House at 54 West 39th Street between 5th &6th Aves! This is rated one of New York's top Haunted Houses and trust me it lives up to the title. At $30 a person, you are given a flashlight to walk through the darkness solo! Yes, of course if you bring friends you can eventually meet together but everyone must enter one by one. I told you, you need to be feeling extremely courageous!
Here's a treat sneak of the most terrifying Haunted House!
  • Did the Music Note get you in the mood to dance? Then I think it's time to check out the Skyroom for their annual Friday Night Heated Rooftop Soiree! Skyroom takes nightlife to another level...literally, the party is on the 33rd & the 34th floor! Get a group of friends together this Friday for DJ Amadeus & guest DJ Santa! Dress to impress ladies & gents, as you will feel like a celebrity when you overlook the Manhattan&Hudson River! Head over to 330 West 40th Street by 10pm, the party isn't stopping until 4 in the morning!! (Ladies get in for FREE & guys are $20.)
  • Still in the dancing mood but just want to take it easy? Footloose is premiering tonight in all theaters! The film has been remade from the 1984 version which starred heartthrob at the time Kevin Bacon. Today the movie has the exact same story line, basically dancing is band from this small town in the south and it's up to one (hot) guy to change that! The movie features Kenny Wormald & Julianne Hough as its main stars. Could they be the next sizzling on screen couple? We'll let you decide!
SATURDAY:

  • After a friday night of partying all you will want for Saturday is a little relaxation. Am I right? Well, in that case you should head over to Brooklyn Botanic Garden to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather! Admission inside is just $10 for students, but why pay when you can take a guided tour for FREE! Take a tour of the Garden and see all the beauty that it offers! If your interested head over to 900 Washington Ave at 1pm. (Take the subway 3 train at 14th Street to Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum the exit is right near Washington Ave.)
  • Where's all the Rolling Stones fanatics?! Well your in for a treat as the famous magazine has an exhibit at 128 East 63rd Street between Park&Lexington Aves! It is called, Rolling Stone and the Art of the Record Review. The exhibit features covers as far back as 1970 & art work inspired by record reviews. Some famous artists painted include the Beastie Boysand Whitney Houston. Stop by anytime between noon and 4pm.
Here's one of the fabulous paintings you can see at the Rolling Stones Gallery of Pink!
  • After all thatrelaxation it's time for some laughs! Which is why our Saturday night pick is Trike at the Magnet Theater! The show starts at 10:30pm at 254 W 29th Street between 7th &8th Aves. At $7 a person, you will get to have a night of laughter and entertainment as improv duo Nick Kanellis and Peter McNerny play out scenes of comedic events! Hey, everyone needs some giggles in life!
SUNDAY:
  • It's time for food shopping to get fun! For Sunday, don't be boring and go to the same old grocery store! Instead, head over to Chelsea Market for everything from food shopping to taste testings! This market place is like no other and will keep you on your toes with all the food choices. The market is at 75 9th Ave at 16th Street, Buon Appetite!
  • The 5th Annual Designer Visions is being held Sunday! This time the theme is Cinema Style. New York has always influenced many settings in motion pictures so its time to take appreciation for it! Go visit and see classic film inspired residence at 1212 Fifth Ave. (Also, the venue overlooks Central Park!)
  • Time to treat yourself before the week starts up again! Head over to Pinkberry at 170 Eighth Street! This sweet addiction is beyond delicious and very healthy for you! The frozen yogurt shop that has New Yorkers' mouths watering, allows you to top your choice flavored frozen yogurt with everything from fresh fruit to candy! Go Enjoy! You deserve it! ;)
