President Obama: Runway To Win

 Happy President's Day Barack Obama!! As you could tell the whole country took the Monday off to relax and enjoy having such an incredible President, including The Society. Now we go back to our duties, and one that this organization feels strongly about is supporting our wonderfully fashionable President in the 2012 Campaign!!

President Obama is EASILY one of the fashion industry's favorite President's that have had the Head of State role, and for many reasons. Mr. Obama has been a vital asset to the retail industry in terms of passing counterfeit legislation and continuing to back projects by the fashion industry in America. The CFDA has fully endorsed him, and of course, he is our favorite because the Obama couple themselves are very well dressed American Icons!

Besides the fact that Michelle Obama has become a global fashion icon, we cannot argue that Barack doesn't look incredible in a Calvin Klein tuxedo! Mr. Obama has time and time again looked more than just boring in those power suits, but he's been true to his personality in selecting playful ties and bold colors that are always on trend with the latest fashions.

And now that the 2012 campaign is right around the corner, many members of the fashion industry have come together to back our man to keep his rightful job as Head of State! The Runway to Win campaign has been spearheaded by Anna Wintour herself, and has guest designers for the collection such as Altuzarra, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodrigez, Alexander Wang, Vera Wang, Thakoon, Diane Von Furstenburg, and Jason Wu.

The Runway To Win collection is available online and features everything from nail polish and shirts, to scarves and tote bags! A great way to stay fashionable while supporting Mr. Obama for the 2012 Campaign! As the campaign season is about to begin, we hope to see fellow FIT students out there supporting Barack Obama for the 2012 campaign, and looking great in these designer pieces for the campaign!
