Remembering the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire

As members of the Merchandising Society we have the privilege every year of working with the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition. Many of you may have participated in the event today that involved chalking the names of the tragedy's victims in front of our school's D building.

The Coalition also has an event every year to commemorate the victims. This year's theme is "We Are All Workers" and the event will be taking place tomorrow, March 25th, from 12-1pm at the site of the fire on Washington Place and Greene St. This is the 103rd commemoration event and it is important to keep up the awareness of a tragedy that brought so much change to the garment industry's history, so be sure to attend if you can!
