Exec Board Elections

Elections are tomorrow!!!

Here is a quick review of the responsibilities of each position as written by the current members of the Executive Board to keep in mind when voting at tomorrow's meeting. Also remember that there will be an opportunity to write in a member of the club for a position at the meeting even if they were not nominated last week!

President: 

"The responsibilities of the President are to hire and oversee all Merchandising Society teams, act as a liaison between the FIT Student Association and the Merchandising Society concerning club affairs, lead weekly meetings, and support the rest of the Executive Board as needed."

Vice President:

"The Vice President is responsible for planning the two corporate trips we take in the fall and spring semesters. I contact different companies we would be interested in visiting, and coordinate with them to see if a visit to their headquarters is possible. I organize the agenda with the company, and I plan out flight arrangements and accommodations for our visit. I also get to plan fun activities for us to do in our free time whenever we may be, from museum visits to sightseeing excursion.  I am basically the Merchandising Society travel planner! I also assist [the President], [Secretary], and [Treasurer]  in any housekeeping details that need to be taken care of within the club."

Secretary:

"As Secretary I have four main roles: Create weekly agendas, plan and attend community service events, write thank you notes for guest speakers, and tracking and recording members' attendance and points."

Treasurer:

"The Treasurer acts as a liaison between FITSA and the Merchandising Society concerning the maintenance of the Merchandising Society account and handles all finances for the club, including fundraising and handling team budgets and trip expenses."
