Trend Alert: The Glam of the 60s & 70s Returns!

Don't panic. We aren't talking about the BAD 60s & 70s! Think NYC glamour meets an Italian Twiggy, who lives in Paris. Now isn't that a much better picture!!

Yes it seems as though all over the runways the trends that will be dominating the Fall 2011 season are a return to the 60s and 70s looks with a more glamorous interpretation for today's women.

Pretty Prada, bringing colors back for fall!

The new looks are featuring both the wide leg printed pant, with the bold colors for fall from the era, a time when women dressed up and looked fabulous all the time! I for one am excited to see how the NYC girl will interpret the trends.

Even Marni is getting into the quirkiness of the season, showing some fantastic prints with today's elegant silhouettes!

One of my favorite collections was the Gucci Fall 2011 collection, celebrating their 90th anniversary Frida went all out to celebrate one of the company's most important eras in it's history, the 70s of which they reigned supreme!

Glamour EVERYWHERE! And of course a fabulous blast from the past!

It seems designers are optimistic for the Fall season with not only bringing glamour back, but with the materials and lengths they are using for their collections! Frida used up to 35 yards of silk chiffon for some of the evening wear she did for Gucci! We're also seeing a lot of fur, creative new textures, and of course the more generous fitting clothes for the coming fall.

Milan overall was a fantastic Fashion Week for the Fall collections and now it is off to Paris!! I wonder how the trends from around the world will translate to the mass retailers we can constantly afford?
