The Weekender

Another week has passed and it's time to let loose for the weekend!! No more stressing out for our readers. The Weekender is here again to give you only the hottest spots to check out! Plus, may I remind you it's 11/11/11!? Wishes are bound to come true and some might just be found here!  Shall we begin?

FRIDAY:

  • Need some cute shoes in your life? Do you have the most amazing outfit planned but no heels to match it?  Well, then it may be a good idea to go to the Stuart Weitzman Trunk Show at 625 5th Ave.!! The show starts at 10 am and ends at 7:30pm,  so hurry your booties over there!  Stuart Weitzman stilettos are some of the hottest in the industry, and I think it's a perfect time to get an early Christmas gift for yourself, don't you think? ;) Don't worry about finding your size because the shoes range from 4-12! You're bound to find your sole-mate on 11/11!

  • Now that you have a fabulous pair of heels, time to go out!  Pacha Night Club is proving to be the ultimate Friday night hot spot.  For all who love to go absolutely crazy with their friends, this is where you should be!  Pacha does not disappoint: the crowd is always ready for a fun time and the music is insanely amazing. Tonight they are featuring Dirty South with Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano! Doors open at 10pm and admission is only $11!! What are you waiting for? Go pick out your outfit right now!
  • Maybe you're bummed about not falling in love on 11/11 and need a little dose of laughter.  Then you should grab your best friends and go to the Chelsea Clearview Theatre (620 W 23rd St.) to see Tower Heist!  The film is bound to make you crack a smile or burst out laughing.  It stars the hilarious Ben Stiller (who was unforgettable as Zoolander!) and the always hysterical Eddie Murphy, as well as more amazing cast members! Check it out tonight! What do you have to lose?

SATURDAY:

  • Who can't resist a shopping spree?! The Vivienne Westwood Sample Sale is going on Saturday from 9:30am until 6pm!! Located at 20 W 36th Street, you will find heavy assortments of men and women ready to wear, handbags, wallets, scarves, hats, jewelry, etc.!!! The sale is fully dedicated to Fall/Winter 2011 which is perfect because you are guaranteed the latest trends!  Got your eye on a fabulous cashmere for Thanksgiving? Then head over and see what you can find!!
  • Do you have a picture of Marilyn Monroe up in your dorm?  Obsessed with the blonde's iconic white dress?  Head over to the Milk Gallery (on 450 W 15th Street, near 10th Ave.)  for Picturing Marilyn!  This is the last day the gallery is holding it where fans can see unseen pictures of Monroe.   One unseen picture includes her in a black Dior backless gown!  This screams epic glamour! I highly suggest going!
She is my idol. Need I say more?

  • Wanna step out of the this era for a while? Do you miss Halloween and just want to dress up for no reason?  Canal Room is hosting a Back to the 80's Show Saturday night at 11:30pm.  Admission is just $12 and it's an excuse to dress like Madonna or wear that obnoxiously bright neon crop top you have! It's definitely a fun and comfortable way to go out and party with friends! Interested in going? The address is 285 West Broadway (at Canal Street) If you take a taxi it will only cost $8 that you and your friends can end up splitting!
Gotta love New York!

SUNDAY:
  • In case you you missed this week's meeting (and even worse didn't read our In Case You Missed It),  let us tell you now that to Sunday is the Great Third Avenue Fair!  It is the perfect way to spend a Sunday! The weather is supposed to be beautiful, so this is another major suggestion!  You'll find yourself overwhelmed with the amount of crafts, antiques, jewelry, and merchandise exhibitions.  Oh, and did we mention all the different foods you can enjoy? YUMMY!
Who doesn't like to pig out on Sunday?

  • After all the chaos of the fair, maybe you want to just sit down and have a good laugh?! Join Elvis Duran from Z100's Morning Show at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center (at 199 Chambers St.) for Laugh More NYC!  The event is open to the public and completely free! Only thing you have to do is reserve a seat for yourself online here.  Otherwise you can go meet Elvis Duran and laugh with the funniest people out there! End the weekend with some laughs and feel a little better about another week!
There you have it! Another Weekender filling up your weekend with some laughs and good times! Stay tuned for next week to see what we bring your way! Have fun, readers!!! xo
